LeBron James Hits Game-Winner as Los Angeles Lakers End Losing Streak with Win Over Pacers
LeBron James delivered the game-winning shot in the final seconds as the Los Angeles Lakers snapped their losing streak with a thrilling 120-119 victory over the Indiana Pacers in Indianapolis.
With just 42 seconds remaining, the Pacers held a one-point lead. However, James capitalized on a missed shot by Luka Dončić, tipping it in just before the buzzer sounded to secure the win for the Lakers.
James struggled offensively early on, failing to make a field goal until the fourth quarter. Despite the slow start, he finished with a stat line of 13 points, 13 rebounds, and 7 assists.
Lakers head coach J.J. Redick praised James’ all-around performance, highlighting his defense and fourth-quarter leadership. “It’s another great example of where he doesn’t necessarily have it going early, and got off to a slow start offensively, but he was so good defensively and then takes over in the fourth quarter,” Redick said. “He gets rewarded by the basketball gods because he didn’t let go of the rope and didn’t stop competing.”
The Lakers, currently fourth in the Western Conference, improved their record to 44-28, ending a three-game losing streak.
Meanwhile, Luka Dončić led the Pacers with 34 points, 7 rebounds, and 7 assists. For the Lakers, Austin Reaves contributed 24 points, and Rui Hachimura added 14.
